 Diary of a Wimpy kid book 2 is about Greg starting a new year of his school. His summer was horrible because his dad made him join the swimming team and Rodrick had read Gregs first diary somehow. Greg hasn't  been getting along with Manny and Rodrick as well. He also had a part time job which didn't go well. Greg had to look after one of his neighbours dogs and take her for walks which didn't end well . Gregs parents were away for a night and Greg and Rodrick were in charge of the house but Rodrick threw a party that night and their dad had found out because he had seen a video of it. Later on that year Rowley's parents had a new babysitter for Rowley whose name was Leland. Greg got along pretty well with Lekand because both of them liked to to play a game called Magick and Monsters. Rodrick started to give Rowley and Greg drum classes as he was also ready to perform with his band. Greg and Rodrick were staying at Leisure Towers with their grandpa when Rodrick got a hold of Gregs diary and in an attempt to get it back, Greg got stuck in the ladies restroom for about an hour and a half. Rodrick decided shared the humiliating incident of Gregs with all his friend and Greg was really scared to go to school. However the message was passed to so many people that the story got twisted to Greg infiltrating girls locker room. All the boys in Gregs school were congratulating Greg as a result of the story being twisted and Greg was more than happy not to set it right. Despite a bad year, he ended up a hero.
