Diary of a wimpy kid book 1 is about a boy named Greg Heffley. He is the main character of all the books in this series. Greg is in high school right now and believes that one day he will be a very famous person but for now "he is stuck in high school with a bunch of morons". Greg has a best friend whose name is Rowley. Greg has two brothers that he is very annoyed of Rodrick, a teenager and Manny, a baby. Greg and Rowley started to write their own comics which went in the school newspaper. They were aiming for school cartoonist. Soon Greg was the new cartoonist of his school but somehow his comics got ruined by a teacher who changed it up a bit. Even Rowley stopped talking to Greg because he got Rowley in trouble somehow. But a the end Rowley ended up being the class the clown and Greg and Rowley were friends again.
