Activity 3: The Columbian Exchange
Someone that has a positive impact on my life is my big brother and sister who have achieved a lot of great things in their life. What I really admire about them is that they have great values, they bought a house with their own money and travel with their own money. They have always been beside me when I am struggling with something or when I am feeling down. They have inspired me and have showed me how much we could do on our own and be independent and how to get back up on our feet when something happens.

Activity 2: When The Rubber Hits The Road
Angelene told me that her proudest achievement is she was choose out of 60 kids for a program that would help her archive her goal.
Ellenora told me that her proudest achievement is when she spoke in front of the class as she is a very shy kid.
Taheesha told me hat her proudest achievement is when she said a speech about why she should be a Manaiakalani leader in front of 2 judges and other students.
Today for activity 2, day 3, of our Teaser week of summer learning journey , I interviewed three of my friends and asked them what their proudest achievement was or if they were proud of someone in their family for achieving something.

Activity 2: Equal pay for Equal Work?`
I think that both women and men should get the same amount of pay when they are doing the same job. The Black Ferns put the same amount of effort in training and work just as hard as the All Blacks do. Just because the All Blacks are men does not mean that they should get more pay than the women's team.
Activity 1: Simile
Today I completed activity 1, for day 2 of teaser week of the Summer Learning Journey. In this DLO I created four new similes. I think that similes are a great way to make your writing/sentences more interesting. This was a quick and fun task to do and it refreshed my memory about what similes are.
Activity 3: BFG
For activity 3, day 1, I have created a character description of what I think the BFG would look and sound like. I have also written about his personality and what I think he would smell like. Before I wrote this description I watched a video on you tube which was a passage from the book the BFG.
