Food Print

Yesterday Michal who is a small business owner came to PBS to talk about her app/business called Food Print. This app is environmental friendly and is about not wasting food. The app has food from other shops for example A cake shop made too much cakes and business was slow so the cake shop can put those items on Food Print so other people can buy them and that way they are not wasted. It took Michal 2 years to plan this and had been 6 months since it opened. Over 20 million loaves of bread is being wasted in NZ per year and NZ population is only 4.794 million. Food Print is a social enterprise to help people , business and the planet. I had a lot of fun listening to Michal about her journey and the process of making this app. Thank you Michal for coming and sharing this with us, it has helped us in our inquiry.
