Kiwi Sport
In Kiwi Sport today we played Ki o Rahi and traditional game with obstacles that we have to compete against. Today teams that played were ki o ma and Taniwha. In our obstacle course there were 7 pou poles, 10 pink cones representing the lake/ Te roto the green cones are the remote island and the obstacle in the middle of the cones is the key. In this game we have to try and get the other team out by labeling ourselves/ Ki o ma and Taniwha. One group has to surround the cons while the others run around the pou poles this game was a bit like golden child.
How to show that you're A Leader
This week my collaborative group created a DLO on how to be a good leader. My group consisted of Jack, Jayden, Angala, Holy and me. This was my first experience in a digital school so it was a big change for me in terms of learning. I contributed by giving ideas on what I thought was a good leader. Angala gave the example of Martin Luther King Jr as a good leader but I think my team members showed themselves as being very good leaders as well. They showed their leadership by making me feel welcome and showing me how things worked in my new school.
Tiriti of Waitangi
This week Te pounamu, Alice, Joel and I worked collaboratively on a DLO to show the meaning of Waitangi. Why is Waitangi an important day its because thats the day the treaty gets signed this is a meaning of peace between Maori and British. We collaboratively put together a summary of 3 paragraphs that explained about Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We each worked on each slide to write a 25 word summary.
This included using 6 of the most important words than writing a summary to explain what was happening.
Fact- Waitangi is a special day of peace between Maori and British.
Sketch note
This week me and Joel where working corroborating with each other. We were learning about what a sketch note is and how to do it. But i was new to the school so i was working with Joel because she new what we were doing. I liked working with Joel because she is a good learner and she helps me if i am stuck with things.
